Urban Leadership Academy
Committed to the development of Christian high school students
Urban Leadership Academy is an organization committed to the development of Christian high school students to become theologically-minded leaders focused on urban community transformation in the name of Jesus Christ. Our students are recognized as high potential leader and are recommended from churches and Christian organizations throughout the Twin Cities. Our curriculum challenges our students to think theologically about their life, community, and world.
The two week academy is an intensive leadership program
Aimed at strengthening the theological and leadership skills of eighty to a hundred talented, urban, high school aged youth each year. The brightest and the best students are recruited each year through partnerships with churches and Christian community organizations. The Christian ministry potential of these youth is nourished by the new ways of thinking, practices, and disciplines. The intent of the academy is that the students leave having had a diverse experience during which they are able to explore their own potential and talents as ministers in the Christian faith. The courses are provided on Christian college and university campuses in order to encourage them to consider choosing a theologically inspired college education.
